FLORENCE, Ala. - The Kennesaw State men's tennis team took down North Alabama 5-2 at the UNA Tennis Complex on Friday.
North Alabama took the doubles point with victories on lines one and three.
Hugo Salmeron tied the match up for KSU with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Guilherme Diniz. Harvey Conway earned a 2-1 lead for the Owls after defeating Carlos Matarredona 7-5, 6-2. The Lions tied things up again with a victory on line one. David Leon returned to the lineup and triumphed over Federico Scotuzzi 1-6, 6-4, 6-3, giving the Owls the lead back. Anthony Weingarten clinched the match for KSU with his 2-6, 6-3, 6-4Â conquest over Chris Zhang. Seru Tezuka won the last match of the night, defeating Nazar Fedoryshyn 4-6, 7-5, 11-9.
The Owls will continue the ASUNÂ road matches in Jacksonville, Ala. on Sunday, April 2 as they battle Jacksonville State.
