KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State track and field teams began action at the Don McGarey Invitational on Friday.

Men and Women combined: 162 points (first place)

 
School Records

• Kali Terza set a new program record with a toss of 61.00m (200'1") in the hammer throw finishing second.
• Eriana Sanford established a new school record in the discus throw with a toss of 47.61m (156.02").

 
Event Winners

• Freshman Kaylee Clark won her javelin debut with a toss of 45.05m (147'9"). That mark ranks third in program history.
• Tayla Moreland jumped 6.08m (19'11.50") to win the women's long jump. That mark is eighth-best in school history.
• Kaelen Mitchell won the men's long jump with a mark of 7.59m (24'11"). That mark ranks ninth in school history.
• Anthony Harrison finished day one of the meet winning the discus with a mark of 55.98m (183'8").

 
Men's Top Performances

• Malik Hussie (21.08 seconds), Tyriq Hussie (21.23 seconds), Nicholas Mabilo (21.59 seconds) and Xavier Parris (21.34 seconds) finished second, third, fifth and sixth in the 200m.
• Ian Jackson posted a time of 53.05 seconds to take second in the 400m hurdles.
• Zachary Peterson landed a toss of 57.24m (187'09") and Tyler Blalock added a mark of 54.68m (179'4) taking home second and fifth in the weight throw.
• Freshman Aidan Boyd secured second in the javelin with a toss of 58.85m (193'01").
• Boyd was joined in the top four by Quan Shears with a mark of 57.30m (188'0") and Reece Burton 57.02m (187'1").
• David Olusanya jumped 7.22m (23'8.25") taking second in the long jump.

 
Women's Top Performances

• Jalurah Moore (24.13 seconds) and Louise Tocays (24.36 seconds) finished fourth and seventh in the 200m.
• Imani Christian ran 1:01.91 to take third in the 400m hurdles.
• Samantha Hennen posted a time of 18:41.28 taking third in the 5k.
• Kaitlyn Corral landed a throw of 43.52m (142'09") to grab second second in the javelin.

 
The Owls will conclude competition at the Don McGarey Invitational on Saturday, March 25.
