Final Results
DORADO, Puerto Rico – The Kennesaw State men's golf team finished tenth at the Dorado Beach Collegiate at TPC Dorado Beach.
The Owls carded a 1-over par 289 for a 54-hole total score of 5-under par 859. No. 39 Cincinnati won the event at 44-under par.
"We made some great strides this week," head coach
Bryant Odom said. "We proved to ourselves that we can compete with some of the best teams in the country when we have five guys posting scores. Today was nott our best finish. I'm incredibly encouraged about the future of this program moving forward."
Claes Borregaard was the Owls top finisher in the event. Borregaard posted a 1-over 73 on Tuesday to finish at 2-under par 214 in a tie for 34
th. The sophomore made four birdies and seven pars during his final round.
Evan Thompson carded a 2-over 74 to finish tied for 37
th at 1-under par 215.Thompson rolled in 11 pars during the final round.
Hugo Lari and
Yuya Eguchi both recorded rounds of 1-under 71 in the final round. Lari played his final nine holes of the event at 1-under par 35. Eguchi made six birdies and eight pars on Tuesday. Lari tied for 51
st at 2-over par 218 while Eguchi tied for 57
th at 3-over par 219.
Shaun Cook tied for 63
rd at 4-over par 220.
Playing as an individual,
Lucas Mota finished 74
th at 8-over par 224.
