KENNESAW, Ga – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team clinched a 4-1 victory over South Carolina State University on Sunday Afternoon at the Betty Siegel Courts. With the victory, the Owls remain undefeated at home and improve to 4-1 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
"The ladies took care of business today. Practice this week was tough because of the weather, but they handled it well and gave a great team performance." KSU assistant coach Simon Pritchard said. "We are excited to set our minds to Georgia State at home on Tuesday!"
The Owls jumped out to four points in the singles matches, which led them to the win over the Bulldogs.
Ji Youn Lee swept Rachida Berjane in a dominating performance 6-0, 6-0.
Sophia Unger followed in pursuit to defeat Teodora Vujicic 6-1, 6-2. Court three collected the third win for the Owls as Sophia Madrid secured her singles match to give Kennesaw State the third point.
Amulika Gottiparthy was able to clinch the final point for the Owls, defeating Malannia Vashkevich 6-2, 6-2.
