KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State football and Georgia Southern have agreed to a home-and-home football series in 2032 and 2033, the two programs announced Wednesday.
The Owls are scheduled to visit Allen E. Paulson Stadium in Statesboro on September 11, 2032, with Georgia Southern making the return trip to Fifth Third Stadium on September 10, 2033.
The 2032 matchup will be the first in series history between the two programs. This game is scheduled as the Owls' third road contest against an in-state school as the team visited Georgia State in 2018 and Georgia Tech in 2021.
Kennesaw State football head coach
Brian Bohannon returns to Statesboro for the first time since he served on the Georgia Southern coaching staff from 1997-2001. Bohannon was a part of two FCS National Championships with the Eagles as a wide receivers and defensive backs coach.
KSU officially becomes a member of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) on July 1, 2024, and will compete within Conference USA. The Owls have three FBS games already scheduled for their inaugural season, as the team hosts the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in between trips to UTSA and San Jose State.
