It's a Blue Out Friday for the Owls' Home Opener

KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State (0-1) looks to bounce back in strong fashion on Friday night, as the Owls will host a “Blue Out” in their 2023-24 home opener against Life University. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center, with free Blue Out t-shirts and schedule posters as giveaways for fans.

The Owls went 15-16 a season ago including 10-8 in Atlantic Sun play and 9-4 inside the KSU Convocation Center. 2023-24 marks the 42nd season of compeititon for KSU women's basketball.

  • Friday's meeting is the third in the series. KSU leads the series 2-0.

Coach Blue Thumbs Up
  • The Black and Gold protected the Nest in 2022-23, accruing a 9-4 record inside the friendly confines of the KSU Convocation Center.
  • Last season, KSU WBB doubled its conference win total from five to 10, finishing with a 10-8 record in ASUN play.
  • In her first two seasons at the helm, Coach Blue has secured 24 wins, the second-most by a KSU coach in DI program history in their first two seasons.
  • Of the 14 Owls on the roster, seven are new to the Nest as freshmen or transfers, but for the first time as head coach, Blue's roster is 100% comprised of players brought in by one of her staffs.

  • 2022-23 was a season of success for the Owls, with Coach Blue leading KSU to its most conference wins (10) since 2008-09 and most single-season victories (15) since 2014-15.
  • KSU is set to host 14 home games this season, including exciting contests against Florida Atlantic, Chattanooga and Georgetown.
