KSU Athletics Announces Additions of McDaniel, Ford and Woods

KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Athletics has announced the additions of David McDaniel, Maria Ford and Sonya Woods. 

McDaniel operates as Olympic Sports Equipment Manager. Prior to Kennesaw State, he spent eight years at the Georgia Tech Athletic Association as an Assistant Equipment Manager. He worked with the baseball, softball and tennis teams. Prior to Tech, he spent time with various Georgia programs working as the Head Football Equipment Manager at Mercer and a Graduate Assistant Equipment Manager at Georgia State. He graduated from Liberty University in 2009 and he later earned his Master's in Sport Administration from Georgia State in 2012. 

Ford serves as an Athletic Trainer for cross country and track and field. Ford recently spent time in the area coming from Life University in Marietta, Ga. as an Associate Athletic Trainer. While with the Running Eagles, she operated with the women's basketball, men's track and field and men's cross country programs. She also earned her master's in Sport Management from Life after earning her bachelor's from Towson University in athletic training.  

Woods works as the Director of Olympic Sports Performance. She supports the soccer, women's lacrosse, tennis, women's golf and softball teams. She comes directly from Coastal Carolina where she served as the Director of Speed, Strength and Conditioning in Olympic Sports. Woods spent over a decade with the Chanticleers starting in 2008. She is a graduate of Winthrop University leaving with a Master of Science in Physical Education.
