Final Results
LOXLEY, Ala. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team closed out the fall portion of the 2023-24 schedule at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational on Sunday.
"We had an amazing fall season with three wins and some record scoring," head coach
Bryant Odom said. "I'm proud of how everyone fought this weekend despite not having our best stuff and difficult conditions. I know the off-season will be productive and restful. I am very proud of these guys."
KSU posted a 7-over par 295 in the final round to finish at 20-over 884 in ninth place. No. 12 Alabama won the event at 11-under par 253.
Hugo Lari carded a 1-over 73 to finish at even-par 216. Lari tied for 13
th. He rolled in three birdies and six pars over his final nine holes. He closed the event with 31 pars and 12 birdies. He also was second in the field in par-3 scoring at even par.
Freshman
Joshua Todd carded his second consecutive round of 1-under par 71 and tied for 16
th at 1-over par 217. He tied for the field lead in pars with 38 in the 54-hole event.
Shaun Cook shot 76 and finished and tied for 26
th at 3-over par 219. He led the field in par-3 scoring at 1-under par.
Hunter Gillard (75) tied for 63
rd at 16-over par 232.
Reed Sweigart (242) finished 76
th .
Next Up
KSU will take a break this winter before returning to action on Jan. 28-29, 2024 at the Sea Best Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.
