Shaun Cook secured his first-career Atlantic Sun Men's Golfer of the Week award after collecting individual medalist honors at the Pinetree Intercollegiate, the conference announced Thursday.
Cook carded rounds of 70-65-70 for an 11-under par total of 211 to earn his first collegiate victory. His 11-under par total ranks sixth in program history and third in tournament history.
Cook became the fourth Owl to take home medalist honors at the Pinetree Intercollegiate. He led the 58-person field in scoring on par-5s (10-under par) and birdies with 15.
His 36-hole total score (135) tied for third in school history. His round of 7-under 65 is tied for third lowest in school history on par 72 course. His 65 is also tied for the second-lowest round in Pinetree Intercollegiate history.
Cook and the Owls will close out the fall portion of the season at the Steelwood Collegiate on Oct. 28-29.
