KAPOLEI, Hawaii. – The Kennesaw State women's golf team saved the best performances for last showcasing three scores of par or better to finish sixth at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Wednesday evening.
The Owls shot 875 as a team through the invitational and 285 in the final round. The invitational marked the final tournament of the fall schedule. The Owls never finished outside of the top 10 in their four events.
Leading the Pack
Nyah Kelly finished as the leader for KSU tying for 12
th after collecting back-to-back 72 round scores and totaling 215. It's her second straight tournament as the lowest scorer for the Owls.
It was an outstanding day for
Bella Kil as she spearheaded the black and gold after finishing three-under 69 after today's round. She tied for 23
rd after jumping 12 spots with today's score.
SCORECARD:
Alessandra Nagayo had her best round as an Owl with a 2-under 70 score. She finished with a 223 total score through 54 holes.
Lara Jecnik collected a two-over 74 after owning the lowest score for the Owls in round two.
Caitlyn-Campbell-Nyman finished with a four-over 74.
GOLF CART NOTES:
>> The highest tally the team racked up was tying for fifth in Par 5 scores; averaging and even score
>> They also placed fifth in total birdies with 39 ranking just one birdie behind the Iowa Hawkeyes
