                 Tournament Results
 
STATESBORO, Ga. - Kennesaw State women's tennis finished play after competing in the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout, hosted at the Wallis Tennis Center in Statesboro, Ga. The tournament comprised 54 players, including 
Terezia Baraniakova, 
Laura Nadaska, 
Ivana Gresova, 
Amulika Gottiparthy, 
Sofia Madrid, 
Izabelle Persson that competed for the Owls.
 
Play began on Friday, Oct. 13, as teams played in doubles and singles matches . Match play resumed Saturday morning continuing the format of singles and doubles play amongst a variety of players. The tournament concluded on Sunday, Oct. 15.
 
The Owls racked up a collective of six doubles victories in the tournament. Veterans 
Izabelle Persson and 
Sofia Madrid collected four of the wins, while Amuilka Gottiparthy/ Terezia Barianakova, and 
Ivana Gresova/ 
Laura Nadaska collected one each.
 
Dominating singles was freshman 
Ivana Gresova, obtaining two of the five singles victories secured by KSU, leading her to the Flight 3 Semifinals. Gresova def. Sveva Bernardi (GSU) 6-2, 6-4 and Ella Tuomela (JSU) 1-6, 6-3. Izabelle Parsson, 
Amulika Gottiparthy, and Terezia Barianakova all acquired one singles win.
 
Next Up
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team will be back in action Oct.18-23 at the ITA Regionals.
