Timm Sets School Record on Friday at Bob Pollock Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's track and field teams opened competition at the Bob Pollock Invitational on Friday.
 
School Record
  • Caroline Timm ran a time of 4:38.64 to finish fourth in the women's one mile run. That mark ranks ninth in the NCAA this season.
 
Men's Top Performances
  • Kaelen Mitchell landed a mark of 7.41m (24'3.75") to finish fourth in the long jump. That throw is tied for 10th in program history.
  • Anthony Harrison landed a toss of 19.85m (65'1.50") to take fifth place in the weight throw. Zachary Peterson took seventh with a mark of 19.16m (62'10.50").
  • Malik Hussie posted a time of 47.98 seconds to take 16th in the 400m.
 
 
Women's Top Performances
  • Faith Bobak (18:15.44) and Rachel Dodsworth (18:18.32) took home first and second in the 5k.
  • Corbin McLean ran a time of 8.47 seconds to finish 11th in the 60m hurdles. That time ranks ninth in school history. Olivia Brown posted a time of 8.57 seconds to finish 15th.
  • Sarah Hendrick posted a time of 4:43.59 to finish sixth in the women's one mile run. That time ranks second in program history.
  • Rachael Ruff cleared 3.72m (12'2.50") to finish fourth in the pole vault.
  • Kali Terza landed a personal-best toss of 18.73m (61'5.50") to take fifth in the weight throw.
 
Owls Alumni
  • Paris Williams won the 60m hurdles with a personal-best time of 7.63 seconds.
 
Next Up
The Owls will finish competition at the Bob Pollock Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 28.
