Match Preview
The Kennesaw State men's tennis team opens the 2023 season hosting in-state rival Mercer on the Betty Siegel Courts on Monday, Jan. 16 at 3:00 p.m.

During the 2022 spring season, the KSU men set the school record for most wins in a season (15), road wins (8) and conference wins (7). The Owls knocked off UNC Asheville, Furman and Liberty for the first time in program history.

Kennesaw State earned national ranks three times during the season and finished the year ranked No. 75.  The Owls also collected a share of the ASUN regular season title for the first time in program history. 

KSU returns five players from last year's squad and welcomes three newcomers to the roster.

Scouting Mercer
Mercer was 7-15 and 1-6 in the Southern Conference last season. The Bears return just four players from a season ago. Samuel Macleod is the top returner. He posted a 10-6 singles record in 2022.
 
The Series
KSU and Mercer will meet for the 13th time on Monday. The Owls have won two straight, but Mercer has a 7-5 lead in the all-time series.

The Last Time Out
The Owls fell 4-0 in the ASUN Semifinals to No. 48 Liberty at the FGCU Tennis Complex on Saturday, April 23. The loss concluded the 2022 season.

Next Up
The Owls will head to Montgomery, Ala. to face Alabama State on Friday, January 20.
