KENNESAW, Ga. – Samantha Hennen was named the ASUN Conference Women's Cross Country Freshman of the Week, announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.

In her KSU debut, Hennen posted a time of 14:49.39 to finish 10^th in the KSU vs. Clemson Dual Meet. The Pittsburgh native finished ahead of five Tigers in the 4K race.

The Kennesaw State cross country teams return to competition at the North Alabama Showcase on Friday, Sept. 16.
