ORLANDO, Fla. āĀ Six members of the Kennesaw State men's tennis team participated in the UCF Fall Sizzler at the USTA Tennis Complex over the weekend.

"I am pleased with how the weekend went for the team," assistant coach
Simon Pritchard said. Ā "It was great for Raul take home the title, his hard work over the summer really showed through this weekend."

Raul Garcia led the Owls in singles action. Garcia defeated Sam Paquette of Cornell 6-1,-7-5. Garcia took down Judson Blair of Georgia Southern 6-2, 6-2Ā inĀ the semifinal. He would sweep Lucas Oliver of Stetson 6-3, 6-2 to win the Green Bracket.
Harvey Conway and
Hugo Salmeron also collected wins in main draw action.

Seru Tezuka fell in his opening match and bounced back to win the back draw of the Red Bracket. He picked up wins over players from FGCU and Georgia Southern in his final two singles matches.

In doubles, Garcia and Conway were 2-1 with wins over FGCU and North Florida.
Kevin Patel and
Anthony Weingarten picked up a 6-2 win over Jason Smith and John Rado of Furman.

The Owls are back on the court Sept. 30 ā Oct. 2 at the Mercer Fall Classic.
