Head Coach Adam Bray
On the men's team …
"I certainly cannot fault them for going for it. We were a little too aggressive early on and it cost us a little at the end of the race. They competed really hard and I am really proud of their effort and attitude towards everything. Our team culture is in much more positive place than it has been in the past and I am excited to get back out on the course with these guys and watch them improve."
On the women's team …
"Finishing top five is a great accomplishment for our program at this meet. They all competed really well and I think we walked away from this meet knowing we can still improve which is a great thing for us to know moving forward. Caroline Timm made her debut and certainly did not disappoint finishing 12th."
On the overall performance …
"Congrats to everyone's improvements from last year to this year! We are just getting into the season and the Live in Lou Classic will be a great test for our programs in two weeks."
Gavin Frick
"Today was a good building block. As a team, we performed better than two weeks ago and it is really great seeing how close this tight group of six is getting. There is still plenty to improve upon. We learned a lot today and I can't wait for these next two weeks of training, watch all these guys get faster, and have some fun at Louisville. Why not us?"
Caroline Timm
On her race…
"Competing as an Owl for the first time with my new teammates was an incredible experience. It was certainly a shock to the system and there were moments where I had to dig deep, but in the end I'm thrilled to start the season with a 23-second personal-best time. There is always something to learn from each race and I'm eager to put that to work for next time."
On the women's team…
"In terms of the team, I am so beyond proud of our overall performance. We know we are fit and this race was a testament to that. As the top ASUN team at the meet, this will give us some good momentum to shock the rest of the conference coming up. So proud to be an Owl."
