KENNESAW, Ga. – Georgia, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech on the road and home games against Georgia State and Mercer highlight the 2022-23 Kennesaw State women's basketball schedule as the Owls announced the full schedule on Tuesday.

The Owls won nine games in the first year under second-year head coach Octavia Blue and return four of five starters from a season ago, including two-time All-ASUN selection Amani Johnson. Johnson has been one of the most prolific players to come through Kennesaw State as the Pennsylvania native sits third on the all-time scoring list in KSU Division I history. The non-conference slate features four home contests and seven road games, with three against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season.

"I am super excited to announce our schedule for 2022-23 season," head coach Octavia Blue said. "We have really challenged ourselves with a tough non-conference schedule. We will face Top-25 opponents, conference champs and regional matchups that Owl Nation can come out to support and be a part of whether we are playing at home or away."

"I am particularly looking forward to seeing how we measure up against those teams," added Blue. "The opportunity to put on display a 'new look' KSU women's basketball team compiled of seven newcomers and eight returners. Playing a schedule like ours in the non-conference will have us both prepared and battle-tested heading into ASUN conference play."

KSU will host an exhibition game against Young Harris on Nov. 3 and opens the season on the road at Ole Miss on Nov. 7. The Rebels are coming off a 23-win season and earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Owls host Middle Georgia on Nov. 10 for their home opener. Blue's squad scorched the nets in a 100-31 victory in the home opener last season, setting the record for most points in a game in program history.

Kennesaw State embarks on a five-game road trip starting with matchups at Georgia Tech (11/13) and Georgia (11/16). The Yellow Jackets and Bulldogs finished with 21 wins and each earned bids to the NCAA Tournament.

After a trip to Chattanooga on Nov. 21, KSU wraps up the road swing at Florida Atlantic (12/2) and Florida International (12/4).

KSU closes out the non-conference slate with three out of four games at home at the KSU Convocation Center. The Owls host Georgia State (12/10), Mercer (12/19) and the final non-conference game of the season against Coastal Georgia on Dec. 29. Kennesaw State's lone road game during the stretch is at Furman (12/15).

The Owls begin their conference portion of the schedule at Eastern Kentucky on Jan. 2, and finish up ASUN play with a home game against conference newcomer Queens on March 1.

The previously announced ASUN slate is available here.

The 2023 ASUN Conference Women's Basketball Championship will be held on March 4-11 at campus sites as the top seeds will host each successive round of the event. Teams will be reseeded following the quarterfinal contests.
