FROM THE THROWER'S CAGE
Kennesaw State's
Kali Terza will compete in the qualification round of the hammer throw at the 2022 World Athletics  Championships on Friday, July 15 at 11:30 a.m. Terza will compete in a field of 24 athletes, and to advance to the final, she will need to hit a mark of 62.00m or finish in the top 12 overall. The final is set for Friday, August 5 at 4:15 p.m, and this year's U20 World Championships will be on broadcast (CNBC) as well as streamed (NBC Sports/Peacock).

NEWS AND NOTES
» Terza qualified for the World Championships by winning the bronze medal in the hammer throw with a personal-best toss of 58.14m (190'9") at the USATF Championships. That mark established a new school record in the event.Â
» She posted six top-6 finishes in the hammer throw including runner-up at the ASUN Championship during the outdoor season.
