KENNESAW, Ga. – Juniors
Tori Owens and
Meva Schmit along with sophomore
Cameron Neilson were named to the WGCA All-American Scholars Team, the association announced Tuesday.
Owens graduated with a Bachelor of Science in public relations in December and finished the season with a 3.91 cumulative GPA.
She had three top-20 finishes on the course this season and tied the program record with a 66 score in the first round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate.
Schmit tallied a 3.82 GPA this season. On the course, she posted four top-20 finishes and helped the Owls to second place at the 2022 ASUN Women's Golf Championship.
Neilson completed her first season at Kennesaw State with a 3.88 cumulative GPA.
She shined on the course as well, finishing top-15 in each of her first three events. She has won two individual European tournaments this summer, including the Scottish Women's Amateur tournament.
The team concluded the 2021-22 season with two team wins at the Pinetree Women's Collegiate and Rio Verde Invitational.
Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman,
Bella Kil and
Alizee Vidal each won the first individual championships of their collegiate careers.
