EUGENE, Ore. – Sarah Hendrick and
Kali Terza represented Kennesaw State at the USATF and USATF U20 Championships on Thursday at Hayward Field.
Terza closed her freshman season with a third-place finish in the hammer throw at the U20 Championships. She landed a toss of 58.14m (190'9") and established a new school record in the event. The Etowah, Ga. native closed the outdoor season with five top-five finishes including two wins in the hammer throw.
Hendrick posted a time of 2:04.20 to secure 25
th in the 800m at the USATF Championships. The junior concluded the outdoor season with 11 race victories. She established a new school record in the 800m and 1500m this season. She earned First Team All-America honors with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Her time of 2:00.98 at the Kennesaw State Invitational tied for the fastest time in the NCAA in the 800m this season.
Ciara Miles (3k) and
Xavier Parris (200m) will compete on Saturday, June 23 at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships. Former Owls
Daniel Haugh (hammer throw) and
Paris Williams (110m hurdles) are scheduled to compete at the USATF Championships on Saturday.
