DALLAS, Texas – The postseason accolades continue to grow for
Donovan Cash as the first baseman was named to the Freshman All-America Second Team by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, announced Monday. The award comes one week after Cash was named a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball.
At the conclusion of the regular season, Cash was named the ASUN Conference Freshman of the Year and was selected to the second-team All-ASUN. He ended the season with a .357 batting average which included 21 doubles, 10 home runs and a team-high 60 RBI.
Cash finished the year with 31 multi-hit performances and 19 multiple-RBI games, both ranked first on the Owls' offense. He is KSU's first Freshman All-American since
Nick Hassan in 2020.
