KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State continues to add to its women's basketball roster for the 2022-23 season, as Lee'Aira Willis has signed a letter of intent to play for the Owls, KSU head coach
Octavia Blue announced on Tuesday.
A 5-6 point guard and native of Chandler, Ariz., Willis spent the past two seasons with the Chandler AZ Compass Prep girls basketball program. Prior to joining the Dragons, Willis spent her first two years as one of Seton Catholic's top players, and helped the team to the 4A state title in 2019-20 in her sophomore season. She was the team's second-leading scorer that championship year, posting 10.2 points per contest and a team-best 5.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.3 steals. She has been both a first-team all-region and second-team all-state selection during her high school career, and was also a member of the Arizona Select AAU squad.
"LeeLee is a fearless lockdown defender who competes on both ends of the floor," said Blue. "The electricity she brings to the game with her speed, quickness and scoring ability will certainly make her a crowd favorite here at the Convo."
Willis is the fourth player to sign with the Owls this spring, joining transfers Keyarah Berry, Carly Hooks and Taylor Cullinan.
