Hartley Named to ASUN Men's Outdoor All-Academic Team

KENNESAW, Ga. – Caleb Hartley of the Kennesaw State men's track and field team was named to the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic team, the conference announced on Friday.
 
"We are all proud of Caleb for being selected and recognized for his efforts in the classroom," Director of Track and Field Cale McDaniel said. "He continues to set an example of excellence that we hope all will strive for."
 
Hartley carries a 3.77 GPA in construction management. He finished third in the shot put with a mark of 18.04m (59'2.25") at the Don McGarey Invitational. The sophomore finished fifth in the hammer throw with a career-best toss of 51.41m (168'8") at the Kennesaw State Invitational. He took second in the discus at the Crimson Tide Invitational. Hartley finished second in the discus and fourth in the shot put at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial. He qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Championships with a mark of 17.89m (58' 8.5") at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial. The Lyons, Ga. native finished fifth in the discus and shot put and sixth in the hammer throw at the ASUN Championship and ranked fifth in the ASUN in the shot put, discus and hammer throw this season. He closed his season finishing 38th in the shot put at the NCAA East Preliminary Championships with a mark of 17.20m (56'5.25"). This is Hartley's first selection to the ASUN All-Academic team.
