KENNESAW, Ga. – Sarah Hendrick was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer of the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the conference announced on Friday.

Hendrick scored 22 points at the ASUN Outdoor Championships, good for most by a female athlete and she helped the Owls capture the ASUN Women's Outdoor Championship title. The Kennesaw, Ga. native won the 800m in a time of 2:06.03. She recorded a time of 2:04.43 in the 800m prelim to establish a new conference championship record. The junior was victorious in the 1500m in a time of 4:24.62. That time ranks sixth in conference championship history. She ran a leg for the KSU 4x400m relay team that took the silver medal with a time of 3:42.32. She was named the ASUN Women's Outdoor Most Valuable Performer on Saturday.

This is Hendrick's second consecutive time being named ASUN Most Outstanding Track Athlete and is the second time an Owl has taken home the award in program history.

Hendrick will compete in the 800m at the NCAA East Preliminary Championship on May 26 in Bloomington, Ind.
