KENNESAW, Ga. – Donovan Cash was named the ASUN Conference Player of the Week after an impressive four-game stretch at the plate. The award marked the third ASUN weekly honor for the Owls and the first for Cash this season.
At the plate, the freshman collected 12 hits in 20 at-bats (.600) while belting four home runs and five doubles. Cash registered 11 RBI and scored eight runs on the week. The first baseman currently holds an eight-game hit streak and has posted two-or-more hits in each of those appearances.
On the season, Cash ranks second on the team in batting average (.376), hits (76), doubles (19) and RBI (51). He serves as the cleanup hitter in an offense that averages 10.4 hits and 7.0 runs per game. Cash has 50 starts on the season and has collected 119 total bases.
The Owls are back in action tomorrow as the team travels to USC Upstate for its final midweek game of the season. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. inside Cleveland S. Harley Park and will broadcasted live on ESPN+.
