JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Kennesaw State track and field teams continued action at the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida. 

Men's Team Scoring (8 of 21 events scored)
Liberty - 137 points
KSU - 70 points
Central Arkansas - 40 points
EKU – 26 points
North Florida – 16 points
Lipscomb – 5 points
Bellarmine – 3 points
 
Women's Team Scoring (8 of 21 events scored)
KSU – 96 points
Liberty - 79 points
Lipscomb – 43 points
EKU – 37 points

 Decathlon (completed)

• Quann Shears finished third scoring 5903 points.
• Shears won the javelin with a mark of 58.32m (191'4"). That mark established a new ASUN Championship record by over 2m.

 
Heptathlon (completed)

• Kywana Donahoo posted a career-best 4954 points to take home the bronze medal in the heptathlon.
• Donahoo won the long jump with a toss 5.76m (18'10.75").
• Ansley Floyd-Jackson finished eighth scoring a personal-best 4289 points.
• Floyd Jackson finished seventh in the long jump and the 800m on Friday.

 

Medal Winners

• Anthony Harrison landed a toss of 57.27m (189'10") to finish runner-up in the men's discus. Harrison and Liberty's Kevin Nedrick both broke the previous meet record held by Daniel Haugh.
• Kaelen Mitchell landed a mark of 7.13m (23'4.75") to secure the bronze medal in the long jump.
• Jasmine Akins won the gold medal in the women's long jump with a mark of 6.09m (19'11.75"). Akins mark was good for ninth best in championship history. Akins became the fourth Owl to win the event since 2016. She was joined on the podium by Kywana Donahoo who posted a mark of 5.82m (19.1.75") and grabbed the bronze medal.
• Javon Joyner landed a toss of 13.97m (45'10") to place third in the women's shot put.

 
 
 Running Event Qualifiers for Saturday's Finals

• Sparticus Griffin (47.84 seconds), Malik Hussie (48.12 seconds), Cameron Johnson (48.52) moved on the men's 400m final.
• Jayla Mobley (55.35 seconds) and Britiney Johnson (56.21 seconds) will represent KSU in the women's 400m final.
• Aaron Goodwin (10.62 seconds), Tyriq Hussie (10.64 seconds) and Xavier Parris (10.75 seconds) will all run in the men's 100m final.
• Corbin McLean (12.01 seconds) will be the lone Owl in the women's 100m final.
• Mclean (13.83 seconds), Olivia Brown (13.86 seconds) and Kywana Donahoo (14.38) advanced to the women's 100m hurdle final.
• Koi Williams (1:50.97) qualified for the men's 800m final.
• Sarah Hendrick (2:04.43) and Natalie Cummings (2:09.95) will compete for KSU in the women's 800m final. Hendrick's time established a new ASUN Championship record.
