TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Kennesaw State women's golf representative
Alizee Vidal posted her best round of the tournament to close out the 2022 NCAA Division I Tallahassee Regional at Seminole Legacy Golf Course on Wednesday.
Vidal shot 1-under 71 to finish tied for 12th in the event. She finished the three rounds with a 4-over 220 scorecard.
She improved her placement in each of the final two rounds, moving up three spots during Wednesday's action. She finished second among individual participants.
Vidal had the best placement of any ASUN participant in the tournament, ahead of the starting five for 2022 ASUN Champion North Florida. She finished ahead of UNF to claim the 2022 ASUN Women's Golf Individual Championship in April.
Her par-5 scoring tied for fourth with a 4.67 scoring average and tied for eighth in par-4 scoring with a 4.10 average. The junior finished third in the field with 13 birdies.
THORNE'S THOUGHTS:
"Alizee continued to battle today to earn her spot at the National Championship," head coach
Erin Thorne said. "She came up just short. Her ball striking was great all three days and some unfortunate putting prevented the finish position needed to advance."
"She represented the team and school extremely well," Thorne added.
