Donahoo and Terza Guide Owls on Day One of Tennessee Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's track and field teams competed on the first day of the Tennessee Relays on Thursday at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium. Thursday's events featured the opening five events of the decathlon and the first four events of the heptathlon along with the men's and women's hammer throw.
 
Men's Decathlon (Through Five Events)
  • Quann Shears is in 17th place with 3408 points.
  • Shears grabbed eighth in the 100m with a personal-best time of 11.11 seconds.
  • Jordan Fick sits in 18th place with 3402 points.
  • Fick finished 12th with a time of 54.32 seconds in the 400m.
 
Women's Heptathlon (Through Four events)
  • Kywana Donahoo is in 11th place with 2906 points.
  • She had personal-best performances in three of four events today.
  • She finished seventh in the high jump clearing a personal-best height of 1.62m ( 5'3.75").
 
Hammer Throw Recap
  • Kali Terza landed a personal-best toss of 54.85m (179'11") to finish 13th.
  • That throw ranks No. 3 in program history.
  • Former Owl and current volunteer coach Daniel Haugh won the men's hammer throw with a toss of 74.72m (245'01").
 
The Owls will continue action at the Tennessee Relays on Friday, April 8.
