First and Second Round Results
MACON, Ga. – Incoming inclement weather has canceled the final round of action at The Brickyard Collegiate for the Kennesaw State women's golf team.
The Owls finished fourth in the now 36-hole event with a score of 18-over 594. KSU placed six strokes ahead of Golfstat's No. 73 Sacramento State and finished with double-digit stroke leads over ASUN Conference squads Central Arkansas (12) and Florida Gulf Coast (19).
Participating as an individual,
Lara Jecnik led the team at 3-over 147 including a career-low 5-under 67 in the second round. She finished tied for 11th.
Bella Kil led the Black and Gold's starting five with 4-over 148 on Monday and tied for 16th.
Cameron Neilson and
Alizee Vidal both ended the first 36 holes tied for 20th with scorecards of 5-over 149.
Tori Owens carded 7-over 151 and tied for 31st at the event.
Meva Schmit shot 8-over 152 on Monday and
Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman posted a score of 158. Schmit placed 35th while individual participant Campbell-Nyman came in at 54th.
With the regular season in the books, the Owls look ahead to the 2022 ASUN Championships at Kinderlou Forest in Valdosta, Ga. The three-day event begins Easter Sunday, April 17 and concludes Tuesday, April 19.
