MACON, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's golf team finishes the 2021-2022 regular season with Monday and Tuesday action at the Brickyard Collegiate hosted by Mercer University.
The Black and Gold enter the tournament coming off a victory at the Pinetree Women's Collegiate in March. The Owls have won two of their past three tournaments.
The two-day tournament will feature 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday with 13 other teams in the field.

The Brickyard Collegiate 14-Team Field
Central Arkansas, Central Florida, Chattanooga, Daytona State, Delaware, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Gonzaga, Memphis, Mercer, Sacramento State, Troy and UNC-Asheville join the Owls in the field for the two-day event.

New Owl in Charge
In June 2021, Erin Thorne was named head coach of the women's golf program. Prior to her arrival at KSU, she was the men's and women's head golf coach at Wingate, as well as the director of student-athlete development. She led the Bulldogs to six tournament championships and was a three-time South Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year.

The Roster
This year's roster features several familiar faces. Juniors Bella KilTori OwensMeva Schmit, and Alizee Vidal return, as well as sophomores Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman and Lara Jecnik. The only new player is Cameron Neilson, who joins the team after spending her freshman season at Kent State.

Reigning ASUN Champions
The Owls begin the 2021-2022 season hoping to capture their fourth-consecutive ASUN Championship. They claimed the 2020-2021 ASUN title after finishing 30 shots ahead of second-place North Florida.

Kennesaw State looks to take home its fourth consecutive ASUN Conference title at on Easter Sunday, April 17 through Tuesday, April 19 at Kinderlou Forest in Valdosta, Ga.
