AUBURN, Ala. – Kennesaw State baseball fell to Auburn by a score of 14-1 on Wednesday night inside Plainsman Park. The Owls (22-14, 11-4 ASUN Conference) aim to get back in the win column this weekend with a three-game series versus Jacksonville.

The KSU offense tallied four hits on the night. Donovan Cash, Hudson Mimbs, Nick Colina and Spencer Hanson all contributed a base knock.

Kennesaw State scored its lone run of the game in the seventh. Colina led off with a single to right and then advanced to second on a wild pitch. A balk from the Auburn pitcher advanced him to third.

With two outs, Hanson slashed a line drive to left field to bring home the runner from third. Hanson finished the night 1-for-3 with an RBI.  

Auburn (26-12, 8-7 SEC) jumped ahead with six runs in the third inning. The Tiger's offense posted five hits with two going for extra bases.

The home team scored two more in the fourth on a home run from outfielder Brooks Carlson. The long ball was his third of the season and extended the Auburn lead to 8-0.

The Tigers added three runs in both the sixth and seventh to push the score to 14-1 where it would go final.

KSU is back in action Friday, Apr. 22 as the team welcomes Jacksonville University to Stillwell Stadium for a three-game ASUN series. First pitch is slated for 5:00 p.m. and will broadcasted live on the KSU Owl Network. Tickets are available for purchase by clicking here.
