The Kennesaw State men's tennis team will back in Florida this weekend for a match against Florida Gulf Coast.
The Owls will play FGCU on April 3rd.
KSU enters Sunday's matchup winners of their last five matches.
Owls Soar into the Tennis Rankings
KSU is currently 70th in the Division I Men's ITA Collegiate Tennis computer rankings and are the highest ranked ASUN Conference member. The ranking is tied for the best in program history and ties a new personal-best under Director of TennisÂ
Matt Emery.
Impressive Start in Singles Play
KSU has opened the season with a 58-27 singles play record, with an impressive record of 18-4 in ASUN singles action. Nine different players have recorded wins for the Owls this season includingÂ
Hugo Salmeron (12-1) andÂ
Matthew Terry (10-1).Â
Scouting FGCU
FGCU has been successful at home posting a record of 8-1. The Eagles last fell to North Florida 5-2 in to bring their ASUN record to 3-1 and an overall record of 10-6.

The Series
The matchup between KSU and FGCU will be the ninth meeting between the two programs. The Owls last won 4-3 during the 2021 season.
The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State men's tennis team shut out Stetson and picked up the 7-0 victory over the Hatters on Sunday March 27th. The victory was the first shut out the Owls have posted this season. In the win against Stetson, KSU picked up the doubles point and won three straight singles matches to clinch the victory.Â

KSU continues ASUN conference play as it hosts Jacksonville State on Friday, Apr. 8. Match time is set for 2 p.m. at the Betty Siegel Courts.
