SPARTANBURG, S.C
. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team finished eighth at the Wofford Invitational at the Country Club of Spartanburg on Tuesday.
 
"I'm happy with the how the team finished today with every player collecting two or more birdies each in their final five holes on the day," head coach Bryant Odom said. "Brock continues to excel and lead the team and it is showing on his scorecard. Lucas had a great final round to finish off a spectacular performance at the event. I was really impressed with the team's scores on the par-5's and tying the third-lowest average score in the field."
 
The Owls carded a 3-over par 291 in the final round for a 6-over par total of 870.
 
Brock Healy recorded an even-par 72 in round three and finished tied for sixth at 3-under par 213. The senior finished the tournament with 29 pars and 14 birdies. He was 7-under par on the par-5s during two-day tournament.
 
Lucas Mota posted the Owls' low round of the day with a 2-under par 70. Mota rolled in five birdies and 10 pars during his final round. He finished tied for 17th at even-par 216.
 
Luke Phillips tied for 29th a 2-over par 218. He shot a 3-over 75 on Tuesday.
 
Justin Kim closed his final round with birdies on three of his final four holes to post a 2-over 74. Kim finished tied for 56th at 7-over 223.
 
Joseph Byrne finished tied for 88th at 237.
 
KSU heads to Athens, Ga. for the ASUN Championship on April 24-26 at the UGA Golf Course.
