KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's tennis travels to Fort Myers, Fla. for a showdown with No. 74 Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday. The team dropped back-to-back matches last weekend but will look to regain momentum as they close out ASUN Conference play.

Hot Start
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team got off to its best start in program history. KSU won nine consecutive matches to begin the year which was a program record. The team currently sits at 11-4 which marks the most wins since the 2012 season when the Owls won 14 matches.

In singles action, the Owls have a combined record of 51-30.
Ji Youn Lee (9-3) and
Sofia Pinedo (9-6) lead KSU in victories.
Kat Muzik follows with a record of 8-4. The No.1 doubles team of

Kat Muzik have six victories with three losses. The No. 2 doubles team of

Valentina Taddia have a record of 8-4 thus far in the season.
Road Dominance
The Owls have been dominant on the road, tallying nine victories away from campus to start the year. KSU is one win shy from tying the previous record set at ten in the 2011 season.
Scouting FGCU
FGCU was on a four-match winning streak before falling 5-2 last weekend to North Florida on Sunday Mar. 27
th. The Eagles have posted a 7-3 record at home and are currently 3-1 in conference play.
The Series
Sunday's match between Kennesaw State and FGCU will be the ninth meeting between the two programs. FGCU leads the series 8-0, last defeating KSU 4-2 during the 2021 season.
The Last Time Out
KSU dropped both of its matches last weekend against North Florida and Stetson. On Friday, KSU fell 1-6 to North Florida and fell 2-5 against Stetson on Sunday afternoon.
Next Up
KSU is back at home to take on Jacksonville State on Friday, Apr. 8. Match time is set for 10:00 a.m. at the Betty Siegel Courts.
