KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State track and field began action at the Don McGarey Invitational on Friday.

Event Winners
- Kali Terza was victorious in the women's hammer throw with a toss of 52.27m (171'6").
- Zachary Peterson won the men's hammer throw with a mark of 54.45m (178'7").
- Kaitlyn Corral collected a victory in the women's javelin with a personal-best mark of 43.00m (141'1").
- Tayla Moreland landed a leap of 6.08m (19'11.5") to win the women's long jump.
- Eriana Sanford recorded a throw of 45.55m (149'5") to take the win in the women's discus.
- Anthony Harrison landed a mark of 53.89 m (176'9") to win his second consecutive title in the men's discus.
- Sarah Hendrick opened her outdoor season running a time of 4:18.95 to win the 1500m.
- Justin Campbell was a winner in the men's long jump with a wind-aided mark of 7.32m (24.0.25").
Men's Top Performances
- Lamar Gordon took fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.53m (152'8").
- David Olusanya had a wind-aided leap of 6.95m (22'9.75") to take third in the long jump.
- Reece Burton landed a toss of 60.98m (200'0") in the javelin to secure second place.
- Courtney Lawrence posted a mark of 46.08m (151'2") and Lamar Gordon added a mark of 46.05m (151'1") to take second and third in the discus.
- Gavin Frick ran a personal-best time of 4:00.69 in the 1500m to secure second place.
Women's Top Performances
- Cameron Scheibauer recorded a toss of 46.56m (152'9") and Sydney Lake added a mark of 44.80m (146'11") to take home fourth and sixth in the hammer throw.
- Taylor Hampton landed a leap of 5.84m (19'2") and Kywana Donahoo added a mark of 5.77m (18'11.25") to grab third and fourth in the long jump.
- Javon Joyner recorded a mark of 41.84m (137'3") while Sydney Lake added one of 39.77m (130'5") to take second and third in the discus.
- Mollie Speights and Jania Joseph cleared 1.65m (5'5") finishing second and third in the high jump. Speights took second due to least amount of attempts to clear the bar.
- Corbin McLean (24.86 seconds), Louise Tocays (24.99 seconds) and Jayla Mobley (25.04 seconds) took fourth, sixth and eighth in the 200m.
- Nyah Hernandez (4:36.93) and Anna James (4:42.24) grabbed third and fourth in the 800m.
- Faith Bobak (18:00.18) and Zoe Sanchez (19:42.23) finished second and fifth in the 5k.
The Owls will conclude action at the Don McGarey Invitational on Saturday, March 26 at the KSU Outdoor Track and Field Complex. Saturday's action begins at 11 a.m.
