The Kennesaw State men's tennis team continues ASUN conference play as they travel to Florida for two matches over the weekend.
The Owls will play North Florida (Mar. 25) and Stetson (Mar. 27).
KSU enters Friday's matchup winners of six of the last seven matches.
Impressive Start in Singles Play
KSU has opened the season with a 48-25 singles play record. Seven different players have recorded wins for the Owls this season includingÂ
Hugo Salmeron (10-1) and
Matthew Terry (9-0).Â
Player of the Week
Matthew Terry was named the ASUN Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday. Terry was key in the Owls victories over No. 68 Liberty and Bellarmine last weekend. He andÂ
Hugo Salmeron came from behind to beat Christiaan Worst and Deji Thomas-Smith of Liberty 6-4 on court one to clinch the doubles point for the Owls. In singles play, Terry defeated Nicaise Muambe 6-3, 7-5 to clinch the win for the Owls. He and Salmeron were up 5-3 on Bellarmine when the doubles point was clinched on Sunday.
Scouting North Florida
UNF has won eight of its last nine matches. North Florida is undefeated at home posting a record of 7-0. The Ospreys last defeated Stetson 4-3 in their ASUN opener on Mar. 20.

Stetson is 7-6 this season falling in two of their last three matchups. The Hatters dropped their ASUN opener against North Florida 4-3 on Mar. 20.

The Series
KSU and UNF will meet for the thirteenth time on Friday. The Ospreys lead the series 12-1.
The matchup between KSU and Stetson will be the sixteenth meeting between the two programs. The Owls last won 4-3 during the 2021 season.
The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State men's tennis team picked up a 6-1 victory over Bellarmine on Sunday March 20th. In the win against Bellarmine, KSU picked up the doubles point and won three straight singles matches to clinch the victory.Â
