EATONTON, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team opened play at the Linger Longer Invitational at Great Waters Golf Club at Reynolds Lake Oconee on Sunday.
The Owls sit in 15
th place after recording a 26-over par 314 in round one. No. 6 Vanderbilt leads the field at 9-under par 279.
KSU was forced to play with four players after
Brady Keran withdrew prior to the first round with an injury.
Brock Healy paced the Owls on Sunday with a 3-over par 75. The senior rolled in 12 pars and two birdies during his opening round. Healy is tied for 46
th.
Luke Phillips carded a 4-over 76 and tied for 58
th. Phillips made 12 pars during his opening round.
Justin Kim played his final nine holes at even par to close with a 7-over par 79. He is tied for 78
th.
Lucas Mota (84) is in 88
th place.
The Owls are set to tee off in round two of the Linger Longer Invitational at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 21.
