ATLANTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State track and field teams finished competition at the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Saturday.
 
School Record

• Reece Burton landed a toss of 61.54m (201'11") in the javelin to finish third among college athletes in the men's javelin.

Event Wins

• Anthony Harrison won the discus with a personal-best toss of 54.39m (178'5")
• The men's 4x100m team of Xavier Paris, Omar Diaz, Malik Hussie and  Tyriq Hussie ran a time of 40.28 seconds to secure the win.

Men's Top Performances 

• Zachary Peterson landed a toss of 51.16m (167'10") to finish fourth in the hammer throw.
• Juan Cavazos II and Sultan Simms cleared the bar at 2.00m (6'6.75") to take the top two spots in the long jump. Cavazos won do to clearing the bar on least attempts.
• Courtney Lawrence landed a mark of 50.51m (165'8") and Lamar Gordon added a toss of 47.45m (155'8") to finish third and sixth in the discus.
• Sparticus Griffin ran a time of 21.74 seconds to finish third in the 200m.
• The 4x400m relay team of Malik Hussie, Omar Diaz, Cameron Johnson and Sparticus Griffin finished second in a time of 3:11.39.

Women's Top Performances

• Kaylee Brown cleared 1.66m (5'5.25") to take fourth in the long jump.
• Jada Smith cleared 3.70m (12'1.5") to take seventh in the pole vault.
• Javon Joyner landed a personal-best toss of 40.90m (134' 2") to take fifth in the discus.
• Natalie Cummings posted a time of 2:12.37 to finish eighth in the 800m.
• Louise Tocays crossed the finish line in 24.62 seconds to secure sixth in the 200m.
• Kali Terza landed a toss of 52.65m (172'9") and Javon Joyner added a mark of 48.31m (158'6") to take home sixth and seventh in the hammer throw.
