KSU Collects Pair of Event Wins on Final Day of Yellow Jacket Invitational

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State track and field teams finished competition at the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Saturday.
 
School Record
  • Reece Burton landed a toss of 61.54m (201'11") in the javelin to finish third among college athletes in the men's javelin.

  • Kaylee Brown cleared 1.66m (5'5.25") to take fourth in the long jump.
  • Jada Smith cleared 3.70m (12'1.5") to take seventh in the pole vault.
  • Javon Joyner landed a personal-best toss of 40.90m (134' 2") to take fifth in the discus.
  • Natalie Cummings posted a time of 2:12.37 to finish eighth in the 800m.
  • Louise Tocays crossed the finish line in 24.62 seconds to secure sixth in the 200m.
  • Kali Terza landed a toss of 52.65m (172'9") and Javon Joyner added a mark of 48.31m (158'6") to take home sixth and seventh in the hammer throw.

"I thought we did a solid job of getting the outdoor season started. Congrats to Maddie and Reece on new school records and all the individuals that were event winners this weekend. It was nice being outdoors and I know this home meet will be a lot of fun in the Nest next weekend."
