WINGATE, N.C. – Kennesaw State women's tennis ended its Spring Break trip with a 4-0 win at Wingate University this afternoon. With the victory, the Owls (10-1) collected their ninth road win on the season and are one short of tying the program record set by the 2011 squad.

The Owls secured the doubles point with a 6-1 win from

Valentina Taddia and a 6-3 victory from
Sophia Unger/
Sofia Pinedo.

Taylor Dean were up 5-4, but the set went unfinished when the Owls secured two doubles matches.
In singles play, KSU made quick work of its opponent and claimed three, two-set, victories. Taddia topped her opponent 6-2, 6-2 on court four. Unger followed suit on court five and was victorious 6-1, 6-4. Pinedo then sealed the match point and dominated 6-2, 6-2 on court six.
Muzik and Dean were each up in their singles matches but went unfinished when Kennesaw State earned the overall victory.
Next Up
The nonconference portion of the Owls' schedule is officially complete, as the team begins ASUN Conference play next week. KSU is back in action on Friday, Mar. 18 as it welcomes Liberty for the conference opener. Match time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the Betty Siegel Courts.
