Quotable
Director of Track and Field Cale McDaniel
On the men's team's overall performance this weekend …
"Certainly not the finish we wanted but there were some fantastic results along the way. Koi Williams with a school record in the 800m, AJ Johnson with his first-career win in the pole vault with a lower body injury and the men's throws group sweeping the medal stand in the shot put was tremendous. At the end of the day, we need to get healthy and demand a lot more out of ourselves when it matters most."

On the women's team's coming up just short today …
"This one hurt and we are all disappointed for sure. We have a fantastic women's team here at KSU and we will only grow from this. I'm so proud of how far this team has come and what a great job these ladies and coaches have done."

On some highlights from the women's team this weekend …
"Sarah Hendrick put together one of the best performances I have ever seen over the course of a championship meet. Jasmine Akins is an absolute stud. She is becoming a national level jumper right before our eyes. Lastly, Olivia Brown ran the hurdles and left no doubt in the final."
