KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's tennis is back on the road for another in-state match this weekend as the team looks to continue its hot start to the 2022 season.
 
Match 6: Kennesaw State (5-0) at Georgia State (5-3)

Hot Start
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team is off to its first 5-0 start since the 2011 season. The Owls five road wins in 2022 are the most in a season since the 2013 season which saw KSU collect seven victories away from campus.
 
Scouting Georgia State
Georgia State is currently on a five-game winning streak after dropping their first three games of the season. Last week, GSU defeated UNC Greensboro 7-0 on Friday before taking down Elon 4-2 on Saturday.

The Series
Saturday's match between Kennesaw State and Georgia State will be the seventh meeting between the two programs. Kennesaw got its first win in the series during the 2021 season, winning 4-3 against the Panthers. However, GSU leads the all-time series 5-1.

The Last Time Out
KSU women's tennis defeated Emory 8-1 in the first meeting between the two programs.

Next Up
KSU travels to Birmingham, as the team will face off against UAB on Saturday, March 5. Match time is set for 12:00 p.m. at the UAB Campus Courts.
