HOT START
After defeating in-state rival Georgia State on Wednesday night, KSU improved to 4-1 on the year. The start marked the best five-game stretch to open a season since 2015 when the Owls also began the year at 4-1.

A NEW LOOK
The Ryan Coe era got off to a hot start last weekend with the Owls taking three of four games from the Morehead State Eagles. With the wins, KSU improved its opening weekend record to 26-16 since 2010.

ASUN STARS
All-ASUN selections Tyler Simon and Cash Young made key impacts on opening weekend and against Georgia State in the midweek matchup. Simon finished the weekend with four hits and two RBI, while Young blasted a three-run home run Friday night to break the game open for the Owls. Both Simon and Young homered against Georgia State on Wednesday to propel KSU to its sixth-straight victory over the Panthers.

DIAMOND DEBUTS
The Owls will feature many new faces on the diamond in 2022. KSU has 23 players that are in their first year with the baseball program. This accounts for 58% of the team's roster.

SCHEDULE CHANGE
Due to the threat of inclement weather this weekend, Sunday's game has been rescheduled. The two teams will now play a doubleheader on Saturday with first pitch set for 12:00 p.m. The second game will begin approximately thirty minutes after the conclusion of game one and is scheduled for seven innings.
