The Kennesaw State women's basketball team looks to improve on its three-game winning streak in a Valentine's Day faceoff against the Jacksonville Dolphins.

The most impressive victory of the Owls' run came Saturday with a come-from-behind effort against North Florida, coming back from a 16-point deficit to win 63-57.

PINK DAY DRAMA
KSU Athletics' annual Pink Day began with good feelings, as the black-and-gold faithful welcomed former head coach Agnus Berenato to the Convocation Center and honored those who have fought cancer.

The Owls' on-court hopes were looking bleak at the beginning however, scoring the lowest amount of single-quarter points with only four points in the first 10 minutes.

Down 33-19 at halftime, the hosts scored 44 points in the second half to come back and win the day.

A Kennesaw State captain crucially came up clutch in the fourth quarter, the Owls' no. 0, Amani Johnson.

AMAZING AMANI
The Pennsylvanian was already having a pretty good day by the time the fourth quarter rolled around, tallying nine points, three assists and three rebounds.

With her team at just a one-point deficit, the senior's play went up another gear to be the difference maker in the final 10 minutes.

Johnson did not miss a single shot in the final stretch, going three-for-three from the field, one-for-one from beyond the arc and two-for-two from the free-throw line.

The point guard's highlight of the night was faking a drive to confuse her counterpart before pulling up and sinking a 3-pointer to tie the game at 51.

SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE
The Dolphins are one of the most elite teams at forcing turnovers in the nation, ranking 20th in Division I women's basketball with 11 steals per game. JU also ranks in the NCAA's top 50 in both scoring  defense and field-goal percentage defense.
Head coach Darnell Haney's group could use some improvements on the glass, grabbing the lowest amount of boards per game among ASUN teams. They also sport the lowest 3-point percentage in the conference's East division.

Five-foot-six grad Taylor Hawks is the star of the show for the Dolphins, leading the program in scoring with 11.2 points per game; however, the Jacksonville State transfer's contributions go far beyond buckets. The guard from Gainesville, Ga. is also Jacksonville's most prolific playmaker and ball stealer of the season so far.

NEXT GAME
The Owls get back on the bus for a Floridian road trip, the final away games of the season. First stop is FGCU, with KSU tipping off against the Eagles on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.
