BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team got back in the win column today after a 5-2 win at Gardner-Webb. KSU (2-2) extends its all-time series lead to 3-1 over the Runnin' Bulldogs.

"We did a good job of closing out the doubles point today, and we are always tough to beat from up 1-0", said Director of Tennis
Matt Emery. "Hugo and Matt getting off the court quick in straight sets really put them in a hole. We are excited to compete again against Mercer on Monday."

The Owls picked up the doubles point to take a one score lead heading into singles play.
Harvey Conway/
Raul Garcia secured the court one win 6-4, while
Seru Tezuka/
Kevin Patel clinched the doubles point from court three earning a 6-4 victory.
Matthew Terry/
Daniel Botti fell 4-6 in a closely contested match.

KSU notched four of the six singles points to capture its second consecutive win over Gardner-Webb. The Owls got on the board early with wins from Terry (6-0, 6-2), and
Hugo Salmeron (7-5, 6-2). Garcia fell behind with a set one loss, but came back to win the match 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Conway's match also went the distance, but the junior pulled out a 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (6) victory.
