ATLANTA, Ga. –
Sarah Hendrick was named to the ASUN Conference women's cross country All-Academic team for the second consecutive season, the conference announced on Wednesday.
"Congrats to Sarah on concluding her ASUN cross country career with another All-Academic honor," head coach
Adam Bray said. "Being a nursing major and an outstanding student-athlete at the same time is not something to be taken lightly. Sarah is a very impressive young lady, and she continues to impress us each season."
Hendrick has a 3.89 GPA as a nursing major. The senior opened the season finishing 25th at the UNA Showcase with a time of 17:25.99. She took home 53rd at the Live in Lou Classic with a time of 17:40.2.
The Kennesaw native secured 13th at the Artur Barrios Invitational with a time of 20:54.4 in the 6K. That was good for the second-fastest time in program history for that category.
Hendrick ran a season-best time of 17:13.2 and took home 14th at the ASUN Championships. That finish earned her ASUN Second Team All-Conference honors.
The Owls will travel to Huntsville, Ala. for the NCAA South Regional Friday, Nov.11.
