KENNESAW, Ga. – Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Cale McDaniel announced the 2023 schedule for the Kennesaw State track and field teams on Tuesday.
"This year's schedule is certainly something that our team and staff are excited about," McDaniel said. "In putting this schedule together, we wanted to put ourselves in the best possible position for postseason and championship opportunities. We are grateful for the schools that will play host to us, but we are always really excited to host our two annual home meets in The Nest!"
KSU will host a pair of meets during the outdoor season. The Owls will host the Don McGarey Invitational (Mar. 24-25) and the Kennesaw State Invitational (Apr. 7 -8).
KSU will begin the indoor season at the Jim Green Invitational hosted by Kentucky (Jan. 13-14). The Owls combined events group will compete at the Samford Multi / Invitational (Jan. 20-22).
Kennesaw State will participate in the Doc Hale Virginia Tech Elite Meet (Feb. 3-4) and the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite. (Feb. 3).
The Owls then head to Nashville for the Music City Challenge (Feb. 10-11), and the DMR squad will run in the JDL DMR Invitational (Feb. 17).
The ASUN Championships (Feb. 24-25) will be held in Lynchburg, Va., while the NCAA Indoor Championships (Mar. 10-11) will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The outdoor season begins with the Owls hosting the Don McGarey Invitational and competing at the Raleigh Relays (Mar. 24). The Owls will head to Austin for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (Mar. 29 – Apr. 1).
KSU will head to the Mt. Sac Relays (Apr. 12-15) and the Samford Invitational (Apr. 14). The Owls will make the drive south on I-75 to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech Invitational (Apr. 21-22).
The outdoor regular season concludes at the Penn Relays (Apr. 27-29) and the Torrin Lawrence Memorial (Apr. 28-29).
The ASUN Outdoor Championships (May 11-13) will take place in Jacksonville, Fla. at the University of North Florida. The NCAA Championships East Regionals are scheduled for May 24-27 at the University of North Florida. The University of Texas will host the NCAA Championships (June 7-10).
