KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State junior Raul Garcia was ranked No. 98 in singles as announced by the NCAA Division I Men's ITA Collegiate Tennis National Rankings Wednesday, sponsored by Tennis-Point. The rankings feature the top 125 singles players and the top 60 doubles teams at the conclusion of the fall season. His ranking is the highest for an individual player in KSU history.
Garcia posted an 8-3 record during the fall and opened the fall with a trio of wins at the UCF Fall Sizzler securing the championship in his flight. He defeated Sam Bossem of Penn State 6-2, 6-3 in the round of 256 and would return to the court later in the afternoon and defeat No. 94 JC Roddick of Texas A&M 6-2, 6-3 at the ITA All-American Championships. The Bolivian native earned a pair of consolation wins over players from Miami and Georgia at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships. The junior's final win of the fall came at the Mercer Fall Classic.
Garcia and the Owls return to the court in January to begin the dual match portion of the 2022-2023 schedule.
