Owls Close Fall Season at Grandover Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. –
The Kennesaw State men's golf team finished the fall portion of the 2022-23 schedule at the Grandover Collegiate on Sunday.
 
"Claes and Hugo continue to lead our scoring efforts and finished the fall season with respectable top 25's and their final rounds under par," head coach Bryant Odom said. "We started the round under par but lost momentum around the turn. We continue to struggle with our par 5 scoring. First efforts of the offseason will be focusing on that and the mental game that helps us finish rounds."
 
The Owls recorded a 13-over par 301 in round two and a 5-over 293 in round three to finish 10th at 21-over 885.
  
Hugo Lari carded rounds of 1-under 71 in the second and third round. He made five birdies and nine pars in round three to finish tied for 23rd a 1-over par 217.
 
Claes Borregaard posted rounds of 77 and 70 to finish tied for 25th at 2-over 218. He closed his final round with six consecutive pars.
 
Yuya Eguchi shot rounds of 73-79 and tied for 48th at 7-over par 223.
 
Shaun Cook rebounded from an 80 in the second round to record a 1-over 73 in the in the final round. He finished tied for 68th at 11-over par 227.
 
Rylan Black took home 106th at 26-over 242.
 
Playing as an individual, Evan Thompson recorded a 75 in round two and a 1-over 73 in round three to finish tied for 43rd at 6-over 222.
 
Next Up
KSU will take a break this winter before returning to action on Feb. 11-12, 2023 at the Vystar Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
