First Round Results | Second and Third Round Live Scoring
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kennesaw State women's golf team stands in fifth at the Olde Stone Intercollegiate after carding 296 in round one Monday at The Club at Olde Stone.
The Owls completed the first round but were unable to finish round two before play was suspended due to darkness. Meva Schmit and Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman will complete round two on Tuesday before joining the Owls in round three.
LEADING THE TEAM:
Schmit and Cameron Neilson lead the team tied for 11th in the event.
Neilson shot 1-over 147 on Monday and landed an eagle on the first hole in round two.
Schmit led the Owls through the first round, tying her season-best low-round score of 2-under-70. She stands 5-over-72 with one hole left in round two.
She also landed an eagle, this one on the 14th hole in round one.
The duo lead the team in par-3 scoring with a 3.00 average. Neilson leads the team with a 4.00 par-4 scoring average and 22 pars.
SCORECARD:
Lara Jecnik finished day one at 5-over 149 and tied for 18th.
She stands in third in par-5 scoring (4.75 average) and has the fourth-most birdies (7) in the tournament.
Bella Kil posted 151 over the two rounds. Kil finished strong with a 1-over-73 in the second round.
Campbell-Nyman's round two score stands at 4-over 73 with one hole remaining. Her overall tournament score sits at 154.
GOLF CART NOTES:
>> The Owls lead the field with two eagles.
>> KSU has the second most birdies in the tournament at 27.
>> The team stands in third in par-4 scoring (4.14 average).
NEXT TEE TIME:
Kennesaw State tees off with a 9:30 a.m. ET shotgun start on Tuesday, Oct. 25 to wrap up the Olde Stone Intercollegiate and its fall 2022 season.
