ATLANTA, Ga. – Senior Bella Kil's third-place finish at The Southern this week earned her ASUN Golfer of the Week honors, the conference announced Thursday.
The native of Syndey, Australia posted the lowest single-round score of the tournament at 4-under 68 in the third round. She finished the event with a 5-over 221 scorecard, only four strokes behind the individual champion. Her par-3 scoring average led the field at 2.83 and she tied the tournament lead with 10 birdies.
Kennesaw State finished 16 strokes ahead of 2022 ASUN Champion North Florida and 35 in front of Jacksonville State.
The honor is the second of Kil's KSU career and the first of the season for the Owls. She was the only ASUN competitor to have an under-par round this week.
Under head coach Erin Thorne, KSU has finished top four in each of the last six events and in eight of its last nine.
The Kennesaw State women's golf team concludes its fall season next week at the Olde Stone Intercollegiate on Monday, Oct. 24 and Tuesday, Oct. 25. The two-day event is hosted by Western Kentucky at Bowling Green, KY.
